MatadorU is developed by the team behind Matador Network, the ground-breaking independent travel publishing network that encourages passionate travel around the world. Our goal is to collect and share the knowledge and experience of our editorial team with travel writers at all stages of their careers.

Josh has been writing, photographing and filming his life and travels for 10 years and has in that time shared hundreds of stories with travelers online. You will find him on his mountain bike navigating the streets of L.A. laptop in tow, searching for strong coffee and a quiet place to write.

From travel videos to corporate clients, Scott’s commercial film and photography work cover a wide range, but his true passion lies in his photojournalism projects like his most recent project “Ixim”, a documentary short about indigenous Guatemalans and their life dependent relationship with corn. In October 2011, Scott was selected as Matador’s first Traveler in Residence completing a month long assignment in Australia. When Scott is not on the road you can find him in the ocean near his home in Laguna Beach

Kate Sedgwick is a Student Advisor at MatadorU and a longtime contributing editor to Matador Network. She lives in Buenos Aires, where she teaches English, learns Spanish, and thoroughly enjoys herself. Armed with a strong cup of coffee and a clear wi-fi connection, Juliane gets the things done that need to get done for Mother Matador.
