Duggal is a respected photo printing company based in New York City, and though there is no cash prize for winning this contest, prizes include publication. </p>
<p>Here&#8217;s a brief about the contest:</p>
<p>&#8220;This call for entry is to “Capture the Moment” and then tell us the story behind it. The story can range from how you came about capturing the image you did to your interpretation of the moment you captured. The images we seek are ones that really engage the viewer and makes them want to know what is going on in the image. (ex. What the thoughts may be in the subjects mind, how you captured such an odd image, why you thought to capture this moment, what does this moment mean to you).&#8221;</p>
<p>Only one image can be submitted per entrant. There is no entry fee and anyone except employees of Duggal and Digital Photo Pro Magazine can apply. The deadline is April 30, 2012. </p>

Open to the public across the Arab World, the contest invites people to use their photography skills to capture dynamic pictures conveying life in motion, for a chance to win a range of impressive prizes.</p>
<p>The winning entry (Grand Prize) will feature in National Geographic Al Arabiya Magazine and receive photography equipment worth $5,000. Runners up will get photography accessories worth $2,500 and $1,500 respectively, in addition to featuring the winning photographs on National Geographic Abu Dhabi TV.&#8221;</p>

MatadorU has been offered one spot on a media trip by a PR firm. The trip is to Salt Lake City and is scheduled for March 21. This is an unusual trip in that it is only for 24 hours, so students/alumni who live in the Salt Lake City area or general region of the southwestern US will be given priority consideration for this trip. Both writing and photo students/alumni are eligible. </p>

This is an ideal position for a candidate who is deeply familiar with Desi pop culture, has significant production experience and can work successfully in an entrepreneurial environment. A strong desire to innovate and elevate Desi pop culture and a self-starter mentality are strongly desired. The role includes generating and pitching creative ideas on a regular basis, shaping and nurturing MTV Desi programming, developing new video and audio formats and franchises, managing production, generating content on a schedule and networking within and outside MTV Networks to create synergies and establish relationships with key partners. Reporting to the SVP of the division, the Producer will work closely with the divisions Programming, Editorial and Marketing teams. The role is strongly focused on emerging and mainstream South Asian pop culture from around the world so passion for Desi culture and an understanding of its nuances are essential.
