Seeking Foodie Writer With Experience Traveling For Cuisine
Matador Network seeks a writer with experience finding reservations at busy and/or exclusive restaurants — Michelin star restaurants, places that are run by celebrity chefs, other busy spots where finding a table requires booking months in advance.
How do you get a reservation?
The title of the piece is “The world’s most exclusive restaurants (and how to get a reservation)”, so this article needs to be focused on specific restaurants around the world. For example:
Description of restaurant/chef/famous dish. How often the menu rotates, what type of cuisine is served, etc.
How to get a reservation: Reservations at Noma are made online and require a deposit. Info on how to make reservation and how far in advance to book. Then, tips on getting a last minute or short-notice table, if there are any. This could be through apps like Resy, taking advantage of cancellations, whatever might work in that specific restaurant.
We need at least 7-9 restaurants. If you have experience making a late reservation at any of them, all the better. It’s important to note that the tips for getting a reservation don’t have to be too outside the box, we just want the best practices for getting a reservation and to make a useful guide that you or I could use if we were to plan a trip to one of these restaurants.
Please send an email to Tim Wenger to the email address below with Exclusive Restaurants in the title.
In the email please introduce yourself and tell me a little about your background. Please include links to any published work.
